    About this Product

We started SpendLens in 2021 after running a small accounting practice and getting frustrated with the clunky expense tools available. Our clients were drowning in receipts, spreadsheets, and manual data entry. What SpendLens does: SpendLens connects to bank accounts and credit cards via Plaid, automatically categorizes transactions, and gives business owners a clear picture of where money is going. The mobile app lets employees snap receipts on the go, and everything syncs to QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks. Core features: Bank/card connections via Plaid (12,000+ institutions) AI-powered transaction categorization (92% accuracy out of the box) Receipt capture with OCR extraction Spending dashboards with custom date ranges Budget alerts and anomaly detection Multi-user access with approval workflows Direct sync with QuickBooks Online, Xero, FreshBooks, Wave CSV/PDF export for everything API access for custom integrations White-label capabilities: Full rebranding (logo, colors, domain, emails) Custom onboarding flows Branded mobile apps (iOS/Android) - we handle App Store submission Your own Stripe/payment processing Client management portal for resellers Embeddable widgets for existing platforms Current state: We have 340 active business users and about $85K ARR. Growth has been steady but we're a two-person team and realized licensing could scale faster than direct sales. The tech is solid - 99.7% uptime over the past 18 months, and we've processed over 2M transactions. Honest limitations: US and Canada only right now (UK/EU bank connections need work) Mobile apps are functional but not beautiful - due for a redesign Best for businesses under 50 employees; enterprise needs more controls Receipt OCR struggles with handwritten notes

    Established Product

This product has existing customers, revenue history, and operational metrics.

    Use Cases

Accounting firms and bookkeepers who want to offer clients a branded expense tracking tool that feeds directly into their workflow - reducing manual data entry and client back-and-forth.

    Ideal For

Accounting/bookkeeping practices (10-200 clients) Regional banks or credit unions wanting to add PFM tools Vertical SaaS companies serving SMBs (contractors, restaurants, agencies) Fintech startups needing expense functionality without building from scratch

    Why This Product?

Unlike Expensify or Ramp, SpendLens is built specifically for resale. No "powered by" footers, no competing for your customers' attention. You own the relationship. Also significantly cheaper than enterprise alternatives - we're not trying to be Coupa.

    Revenue Potential

    Scenario 1
Regional accounting practice with 80 business clients

Offer SpendLens as part of monthly bookkeeping packages. Reduces receipt-chasing and manual categorization time.

    Investment:$2,500 setup + $400/month
    TimelineClientsMonthly RevNet Profit
    Month 615$675$275
    Month 1235$1,575$1,175
    Month 2460$3,000$2,600

Notes: Most firms bundle this into existing packages at $30-$60/client. Time savings alone (est. 2 hrs/client/month) justify the cost.

Break-even around month 9-10. Ongoing margin of 85%+ once past 20 clients.

Assumptions: 40% attach rate to existing clients over 24 months. Minimal churn since it's bundled with bookkeeping services.

    Success Stories

We rolled SpendLens out to 40 clients in Q1. Cut our receipt processing time in half and clients love the dashboard. Already covered the annual cost in time savings." — Partner, Midwest accounting firm (name available under NDA)
